The Koha community is proud to announce the release of 18.11
This release (as always) is the work of many librarians, developers, and community members who donate their time and effort to the project. Their contributions help shape the release, and the project going forward. None of this would be possible without them, and my sincere thanks goes out to everyone who had a hand in the project

I wanted to take some time to give everyone in our community some insight into the birth of the new icon and logo for FOLIO. I am going to give you some of the facts and share some perspectives into the birth of the Bee. We know that not everyone loves the bee but ask all to be patient as the talented marketing team rolls out these new identity pieces for FOLIO.
Catalyst and Bywater Solutions are both vendors for Koha library management system. We have worked together in the Koha community for 8 years. Both companies support a number of academic libraries (universities, polytechnics, TAFEs, colleges) and are investigating how FOLIO can be of benefit to our customers, with an initial focus on academic libraries.
